Podorosa House, Residential Project: Chris & Maria Podosek
Chris and Maria Podosek were honored for their restoration of the 1922 Podorosa House, transforming a once-neglected property into a model of historic preservation using traditional materials and methods.
Charles W. Goodyear Mansion & Residences, Commercial Project: Paul Kolkmeyer
Paul Kolkmeyer accepted the award for the Goodyear Mansion project, which preserved historic features while modernizing the building, using historic tax credits and adhering to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.
Scott Glasgow, Individual, Neighborhood Preservation
Scott Glasgow, a founding trustee and Preservation Committee member of BRHS, was recognized for his 35+ years preserving Buffalo’s Black Rock neighborhood and extensive knowledge of its history.
Winspear Historic District, Neighborhood Preservation Organization:
Lissa accepted the award on behalf of the University Heights Collaborative for their instrumental role in designating the Winspear Extension Historic District.
Alt Homestead, Preservation Leadership: Nicole & Dave
Nicole and Dave were honored for their leadership in preserving the 19th-century Alt Homestead, creating an environmental education hub, and fostering a deeper connection with Grand Island’s farming history.

“Women of Niagara: An Art Installation of Polly King Artworks on the Historic Jenss Department Store Building.”, Preservation Advocacy, Niagara County: Niagara Falls Heritage Area Team
The Niagara Falls Heritage Area Team received the award for the “Women of Niagara” public art installation, promoting preservation advocacy and community engagement.
ReUse Action, Preservation Craft, Erie County: Michael Gainer & Kevin Hayes
Michael Gainer and Kevin Hayes accepted the award for ReUse Action, a salvage non-profit dedicated to reusing materials from buildings, promoting reuse and sustainability.
Prophet Isaiah Robertson’s Second Coming House: Exterior Art Environment Preservation, Preservation Craft, Niagara County: Niagara Falls Heritage Area Team
The Niagara Falls Heritage Area Team was honored for preserving and replicating Prophet Isaiah Robertson’s wooden carvings after his passing, demonstrating exceptional preservation craft.

Rollin Hellner, Emerging Preservation Leader: Rollin Helner
Rollin Hellner, through Hellner Development Company LLC, was recognized for preserving and renovating several historic buildings in Western New York, revitalizing landmark buildings, and contributing to the community’s cultural and historical heritage.

Pete Gallivan, a co-anchor for WGRZ-TV’s Daybreak, received the award for his “Unknown Stories of WNY” series, highlighting local historical significance and preservation concerns.

Buffalo Mass Mob, Preservation Advocacy, Erie County: Christopher Byrd
Christopher Byrd accepted the award on behalf of Buffalo Mass Mob, which has raised awareness and funds for grand churches in Buffalo and Western New York for the past decade.
Edward Healy, Lifetime Preservation Achievement: Ed Healy
Ed Healy, Vice President of Marketing at Visit Buffalo Niagara, received the Lifetime Preservation Achievement award for his 20+ years promoting Buffalo’s historic architecture and cultural tourism.
