Description
While currently known as a playground for outdoor fun and adventure, Ellicottville was originally planned and settled starting in 1817 as a center for land transactions. Prospering as the onetime county seat of Cattaraugus County, this district retains its Federal style Town Hall/Old Cattaraugus County Courthouse, while also featuring buildings of various styles from the village’s earliest days through the 1930s.
