To celebrate his 129th birthday, visit the Frank E. Merriweather Library to tour “Out of the Shadows: John E. Brent, A Buffalo Architect”, an exhibit Documenting the life and architectural legacy of the City of Buffalo’s first African American architect.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
The Frank E. Merriweather Library is open Monday – Thursday 12pm-8pm, Friday and Saturday 10am-6pm, and closed on Sundays.
Join Preservation Buffalo Niagara and The Sankofa Heritage Collective, in celebrating John E. Brent’s 129th birthday with a screening of the Brent documentary “Through These Gates”. The birthday party starts at 5:30pm with a chance to tour the exhibit and meet the curator, Christine Parker, with the showing of the documentary to start at 6pm.
