EC 200: EB Green Tour de Force

August 28, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm EDT

This summer join Preservation Buffalo Niagara in celebrating Erie County’s bicentennial with a commemorative bike ride highlighting the accomplishments of noted architect E.B. Green.

Edward Brodhead Green (May 10, 1855 – February 2, 1950) made enormous architectural contributions to Buffalo, NY. His career spanned over 70 years and he produced over 200 buildings in Buffalo during that time including the Market Arcade, the Buffalo Savings Bank, and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery.

PBN will be offering two ways to experience the E.B. Green Tour de Force. The first option is as an in-person tour in August, or ride at your leisure on our self-guided tour.

The in-person tour will be on August 28, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.  This special bike tour begins at the Market Arcade and will be led by PBN docent and Board Member Katie Moriarity. This guided tour of E.B. Green’s indelible mark on the city of Buffalo is open to riders of all levels, includes 10-12 miles of moderately paced biking, and is expected to take at least 2.5 hours.

In-person tour tickets are $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers.
