Spring Appeal 2020

We hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe and well. Our current social distancing measures, while hard, are necessary, and we want to reassure you, our members, that PBN is doing everything we can to continue to fulfill our mission to protect the places important to our community so that when we are all able to gather again, our neighborhoods, business districts, and places of worship will be there.

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel a number of our spring events. These include two Hard Hat Tours, our Annual Preservation Awards, the City Hall Book Launch, and the start of our spring walking tour season.  We’ve also had several grantors postpone funds that we typically count on, as they assess how they will do giving during this difficult time.  All of this is understandable, but it is straining our ability to continue to remain fully staffed to do the work that you count on from us.

In these trying times, supporting PBN is more pertinent to our mission to protect our historic fabric than ever before.

PBN relies heavily on membership, tours and events. With that support, we are able to provide communities with free tax credit workshops, advocate for at-risk buildings, offer outreach workshops, and fight to create historic districts.

It’s Preservation Month and today we ask you to give on a sliding scale:

  • $5 replaces a member’s price on our Queen City tour
  • $10 replaces a Guaranty Building tour ticket
  • $25 replaces a ticket on our ever-popular Hard Hat tour
  • $59 replaces a ticket to the Preservation Awards

These are all tours and events that were set to bring in much needed resources during our spring quarter.

If you find yourself able to give, please do so today. We are all in this together and any contribution will substantially contribute to PBN working for our region.
