2020 Annual Appeal

This year, we have all had to find a new normal. In that, Preservation Buffalo Niagara has been no exception. While we stayed inside to keep our community safe, PBN solidified, adapted, and expanded our vision.

Our programming became virtual, but we were able to connect our community with our historic legacy with self-guided tours as featured during Modern WNY.

Advocacy was not done face to face, but we were able to support Willert Park/AD Price Courts and the Michigan-Sycamore Historic District

Although virtual, much like for the students of WNY, we were able to educate during our Summer School Series and with The 1850 Project

2020 marks the year of our hands-on approach with 72 Sycamore. Also known as the Eliza Quirk House, The Little Brothel that Could, PBN acquired 72 Sycamore from local developer Rocco Termini with plans to protect the landmark. PBN intends to rehab the building into six units of affordable housing, office space for local non-profit Heart of the City Neighborhoods, and PBN’s Preservation Resource Center where we can hold workshops and provide educational experiences.

All of this was possible because PBN was never alone. You were there with us the entire time.

We hope you will continue to stay with us and invest in PBN and our community by making a gift to our Annual Appeal today.
